Have you ever seen a beautifully decorated cookie and wondered how it was made? The answer may lie in multi piece stencils or layering stencils. Last week, I had a blast decorating with these techniques during a live tutorial. Using a variety of stencils, we explored how to use both airbrush and royal icing to create stunning designs that will make your cookies stand out from the rest.
With multi piece stencils, you can create intricate designs that would be difficult to achieve with a single stencil, or by piping. By layering different stencil pieces, you can build up your design and add depth and dimension to your cookies. And with the right tools and techniques, you can use both airbrush and royal icing to achieve stunning results.
If you're interested in learning more about how to use multi piece stencils and layering stencils to elevate your cookie decorating game, I encourage you to watch my tutorial. With step-by-step instructions and helpful tips, you'll be on your way to creating stunning, professional-looking cookies in no time! Not gonna lie ;) This is a long tutorial, so settle in with a cup of tea or glass of wine, we have lots of info to go over!!
When creating this wedding set of cookies, i utilized some of the royal icing flowers that Sarah had made in her live tutorial the previous day. To watch her video and learn just how easy royal icing flowers can be, click here. Royal icing flowers are also fabulous to decorate with because you can make them ahead of time! Just store in airtight containers. I also premixed a custom pale blue to use as the main color of my cookie palette. By mixing our Whipped White and No Nonsense Navy airbrush colors, I achieved a beautiful soft, sky blue. We sell these handy flip top bottles you can use for mixing, and then saving, your custom colors in. Tip: Mix a little more than you think you will need. It may be hard to exactly match the color if you have to go back and make more. You can always save this new color as well.
👑 When using multipiece stencils, always remember that the crown tab should be at the top right of the stencil. our 2 or 3 piece stencils are designed to line up perfectly this way.
If you're in the market for an airbrush system, look no further than the Royale Max airbrush system from The Cookie Countess. This innovative airbrush system has been designed from the ground up to be the most powerful airbrush system available in a quiet and compact package. The team at The Cookie Countess has truly outdone themselves with this system.
One of the standout features of the Royale Max is its two integrated airbrush gun holders, which allow you to quickly and easily swap between colors and additional guns. This feature alone can save you a lot of time and hassle, especially when working on multiple cookie projects.
Another great feature of the Royale Max is its quick connect capabilities. This feature allows you to quickly and easily attach and detach the airbrush gun from the system, and swap out guns, which can also save you time and reduce the risk of spills or messes.
But that's not all - The Cookie Countess has now bundled the airbrush system with a 12-pack of .75oz essential airbrush colors and a Magic Stencil Screen, all for the same price as the airbrush system alone. This is an incredible value that will allow you to get started right away with airbrushing and stenciling on your cookies.
