Moments of ME TIME: Chic Self Care Cookie Set

For this set, I chose a palette that felt soothing yet elevated: two shades of pink, beige, brown, purple, and subtle golden accents.

  • The pinks were created by mixing Preppy Pink and Totally Brown color gels from our brand. This combination gave me a muted, sophisticated pink that feels cozy rather than overly bright. For the darker pink I used just a little more of each of the gels.
  • Both the beige and brown tones were achieved using Totally Brown, adjusted in concentration to create depth and contrast.
  • The purple was mixed using Positively Purple and True Blue, also from our Brand, resulting in a rich yet soft shade that complements the rest of the palette beautifully.
  • Golden accents were added sparingly to elevate the set and give it that chic, polished finish.

Every color was chosen to evoke warmth, calm, and a sense of quiet luxury

This set allowed me to work with every royal icing consistency, each serving a specific purpose:

  • Stiff consistency was used for the brown hair on the girl cookie, giving it texture, dimension, and structure. I used Star tip #16 from Ateco.
  • Outline and flood were used for the pinks and beige areas, creating clean edges and smooth, polished finishes.
  • Hybrid consistency was used for the purple details, striking the perfect balance between control and flow.

Using multiple consistencies added visual interest and depth while showcasing the versatility of royal icing when used intentionally.

For a better understanding of icing consistencies refer to this blog here. We also have a very thorough online class here.

If you are comfortable cutting and piping/flooding with tipless bags, go for it! If you prefer tips I would recommend a #1 or #1.5 tip for details and outlines , and a #2 or 2.5 for flooding.

Below you will find step by step instructions for all the cookies. Followed by a video on how to decorate the Girl with Bathrobe Cookie. Feel free to have fun! Use different colors, or different techniques. Let your creativity shine if you want!

Warm Wrap Up

Creating the Moments of Me Time cookie set was a deeply intentional process from start to finish. From choosing the theme to mixing the colors and deciding on each icing consistency, every step reflected a desire to slow down and reconnect with myself at the beginning of a new year. This set became a creative reset, a reminder that self-care isn’t just about grand gestures, but about honoring the small rituals that help us feel grounded, calm, and whole.

Each cookie tells a piece of that story. The cozy bathrobe and warm mug represent rest and presence. The hairbrush and candle speak to gentle routines that bring comfort and peace. The clipboard encourages reflection and mental clarity, while the fashion sunglasses remind us to step confidently into our own space, protecting our energy and embracing who we are becoming. Together, they create a visual narrative of balance, between softness and strength, reflection and confidence, planning and simply being.

The color palette and icing techniques tied everything together, reinforcing the mood of the set. The soft pinks, warm browns, calming beige, and rich purple enhanced with subtle golden accents, helped create a sense of warmth and quiet elegance. Using all icing consistencies allowed me to add depth, texture, and intention to each design, elevating the set while still keeping it approachable and cohesive.

More than anything, this set was a reminder to myself to choose me, to rest without guilt, to create without pressure, and to find joy in the process. As I move forward into the year, this theme of intentional living and creative self-care will continue to influence my work. And while this chapter focused on slowing down and resetting, the next cookie set will build on that energy in a new and exciting way, exploring a fresh theme, new techniques, and another story waiting to be told through sugar and icing. Stay tuned, because this year's journey is just getting started.

Now I’d love to hear from you. Your ideas and feedback play a huge role in shaping what comes next, and I truly value being able to create alongside this community. So let’s look ahead together.

Happy Baking!
