How To Make a Red, White & Blue Colored Bundt Cake

Directions

1. Mix the cake mix according to box directions and preheat your oven. Separate into 3 bowls. Add 3-5 drops of red gel food coloring and gently mix to distribute color. Repeat with blue.

   

2. Lightly grease your Bundt cake pan and dust it with flour. Tap the pan over a sink to evenly distribute the flour.

   

3. Layer your cake mixes one at a time. The layers do not have to be even, so don't tap or bang the pan (it will make your cake flat!), and don't be tempted to mix the colors - you'll end up with a purple cake!

   

4. Bake according to cake box directions and turn the pan over to cool cake on a wire rack. If you cake is slightly stuck, gently slide a butter knife around the edge and tap the pan with a wooden spoon to release the cake.

   

5. One your cake is fully cool, mix all glaze ingredient in a bowl until smooth. It should be a thick liquid. Pour over you cake and decorate as desired.
