Round Ornament PYO Stencil Set

Exactly what I wanted

I love that the design covers the whole cookie. The only issue I had was the leaf design portion next to the hearts. It needs a small connector to the stencil. After a batch of cookies the leaves have started to bend. I had a lot of success with the squiggle design.

These PYO ornament stencils are cute for the holidays. The set has a matching ornament cutter that I purchased separately. When used together, decorating is a breeze, and the holidays will be more festive and delicious!

Cutter:
When using this cookie cutter I have found that you need to make the cookie a little thicker than normal. Closer to 1/4 in thick, the top part that you would paint gold breaks easily if the cookie isn't thick enough. That could have been the way I placed them in the box but I did notice the thicker cookies did not break as easily as the thinner ones did.

Stencil:
I have found that the stencils apply much easier if you have a flat consistent icing base layer. Sometimes I dip my cookies vs piping and it defiantly goes on better when I pipe the cookie base to start. It is easiest to apply the stencil if your icing is like a 8 count consistency, so not really runny but not stiff. Somewhere between a outline and a piping consistency. I was also able to do more cookies if I used a damp paper towel or rag to wipe away excess icing between each application.

Overall I love these products how professional they make these cookies look. I had several complements from people who didn't think they looked like cookies but more like little canvases!
