Frequently Asked Questions:

  • What is this Precision Rolling Pin made from?

    Birch wood

  • Do the handles spin, or is the pin one solid piece?

The handles on our Precision Pins spin, making rolling out dough easy on the hands.

  • How do I clean the Precision Rolling Pin?

Simply wipe clean with a damp cloth. Do NOT submerge the pin in water, leave it to soak, or spray it with cleaning chemicals.

  • Do I need to season or oil my Precision Rolling Pin?

Seasoning the pin is not typically required. You can, however, use a small amount of food-grade mineral oil to periodically coat the pin; this will help prevent splitting/cracking of the wood, as well as seal the pores of the wood to prevent odor absorption.

  • How should I store my Precision Rolling Pin?

Our Wall-Mounted Rolling Pin Hanger fits all three sizes of our Precision Rolling Pin and can help you store your pin out of the way.  Alternatively, the pin can be stored laying down, if you have a drawer long enough to accommodate the 25.5" length.

  • Why is this rolling pin special?

The design of the Precision Rolling Pin will result in the same thickness of cookie every time, with no need to attach discs or set up wooden guide dowels. The extra-wide 16" rolling area also means that you can roll out larger flats of dough at one time.

Perfect? No.

I was super excited for this rolling pin. I’ve been eyeball rolling my dough for years and I know I have the tendency to roll thinner when I start to see my dough running out. Obviously since I know that I try really hard not to but it just happens. So I was beyond excited for this product.
The rolling pin feels solid, looks great, and has a great length to roll out a lot of dough.
One of the things that did disappoint me was that the ridge is not perfectly level. When I first checked it out I thought “Oh no! These cookies will be too deep (compared to my normal depth), but as I rotated the pin I saw that the depth changed to a more shallow depth in another area. I think doing a lot of passes over the dough would ensure that it is an even thickness, but I would’ve liked to have avoided that, as that was one of the reasons I bought the pin, to cut back on time.

It’s a good pin but I think it’s a bit over hyped up. But I appreciate the business and will continue to support in the future.

Not Too Thin, Not Too Thick

I love the 5/16 rolling pin. My sugar cookies aren't too thin or thick. They are just right. I didn't really think I'd need a wooden rolling pin but I prefer it to my metal one. I definitely would recommend.

The best investment I've ever made

I legitimately don't use any other rolling pin anymore! It takes away hours of work and it makes my cookies so consistent and professional-looking.
